Ruby emerged from the busy road as she held on to her purse with hung across her body in a diagonal direction as she dodged cars and ran through the roads not worrying much about getting hit by cars. As she did she heard her cell phone ring.
"NO" she shouted out loud as she made her way to the other side safely and walked upon the sidewalk again. She stopped a second to catch her breath as she had ran almost the whole way from her Condo to where P3 was, she was yet again late for work. She hated being late for work despite having been working there since her last couple years at university so she was comfortable there and enjoyed the other co workers and customers that came in but her biggest problem was getting to work ontime.
She knew it had to be one of her bosses calling her cell phone asking her if she was planning on showing up for work so she decided to ignore it as she thought the quicker she got there the better it would look and stopping for a chat would slow her down. She carried on down the sidewalk and almost running she cursed herself under her breath as she really wished she had a car as it would make the journey easier.
It wasn't long before she'd made it to P3 and she rushed through past the bouncers who didn't really pay much attention to her as she ran down the steps and into the bar area she quickly looked around before heading into the back to place her purse in there before starting work.

Alyssa walked in the front door to P3 and was met by blaring music and lights. Ever since Olivia had first opened the club, it kept getting more and more wild with each passing day. She had no idea whether either of her sisters would be at the club, but she needed some time away from home. It was a saturday night and she had no plans... none whatsoever..... did she really have that much of a nonlife? As she made her way deeper into the club, Alyssa found herself shouldering people aside in order to make her way to the bar.
The club was fairly crowded tonight, which was bittersweet. On the bright side, more money for the Deverauxs, on the down side, it was difficult to move anywhere. By the time Alyssa got to the bar she was all but gasping for breath. She took a seat, ready for a long night of drinking and people watching... alone. How pathetic. She hadn't really talked to any of her friends since she found out that she was a witch. SHE was still in shock about her powers (even though she found it rather cool). How would her friends react? Alyssa snapped out of her thoughts as Ruby, the bartender ran into the bar. "Hey, Ruby... you're late," Alyssa teased, yelling to be heard over the music.

Ruby heard a familiar voice as she made her way to the back room even over the loud music that could be heard about 10 blocks away, well maybe not but over reactions was one of the things that made Ruby funny when she shouldn't be really. She turned around and saw a familiar face to match the familiar voice it was Alyssa one of the sister's who owned the bar ....
She thought about shouting something witty back but settled with something simple instead "I KNOW" she simply shouted before opening the door to the back room placing her purse on a table and having a quick look around to see if anyone else was there but she saw no one so she shrugged, took her jacket off and hung it up and straightened her top and pouted for a second before walking out again into the club and making her way to the bar.
She placed herself behind the bar and looked around for a second at the people in booths talking and drinking, people dancing on the dance floor and smiled to herself she liked to see people enjoying themselves she smiled and looked at who wanted drinks from the bar and walked over to where Alyssa sat and asked her "Drink?" looking at her still she added an apology "Sorry I'm late .. AGAIN, there was an incident with the washer - dryer and soap powder, and bubbled" she shook her head slightly hardly believing it herself.

"Relx, Ruby, you're only..." Alyssa took out her cellphone and looked at the clock. "Um... thirty minutes late... ooh yeah... I won't tell Liv if you don't" Alyssa raised a brow at Ruby's excuse. The washer bubbling with soap powder? That sounded like an interesting story... if it was legitimate (which Alyssa knew it wasn't). "Just gimme a beer... Fat Tire sounds good," Alyssa replied. As she sat around watching people crazily dance around, she knew it was probably going to be a very uneventful night. She felt so old, suddenly literally having the weight of the world on her shoulders. A few months ago she would've been one of those drunk crazies partying it up..... but now that she was a witch, a Charmed One nontheless... she felt like her life was going down the tubes at age twenty-four.
Although she liked the idea of having powers, it pissed her off that at her young age, some higher power decided that her life should be over. Now it would be demons, demons, and more demons. They never stopped coming, and ever since last month, the Deveraux sisters would be their number one target. Wow, she really needed that beer before her thoughts REALLY took a depressing turn. Alyssa turned her attention back to the bar, waiting for the drink and wondering if anything exciting would happen tonight.

Ruby sensed what Alyssa's tone would be before she spoke but was hardly suprised she didn't question her about the washer - dryer thing but was relieved if anything, she heard her ask for a beer and she turned around and grabbed one of the one's she'd asked for and opened it before placing it on the counter infront of Alyssa.
She gave her a smile and although she didn't directly know if anything was wrong wasn't about to start jumping the gun but she was a little suprised as she always knew alyssa to be afun kind of girl and liked to enjoy herself. She herself thought if she wasn't one of her bosses then they could have hung out, been friends maybe but it was a little too weird them going out and her still being her boss well to Ruby it was anyhow.
Ruby was going to talk to Alyssa as she seemed a little lonely sitting there by herself but as customer stumbled to the bar she tendered to their needs, a young-ish girl ordering shots was never a good thing especially when it was pretty clear she was almost drunk or drunk already but Ruby poured the shots and placed them on the counter and took the money. She grinned to herself knowing that girl would have a bad hang over tomorrow.
Turned back and walking over to Alyssa she smiled and asked "So where are your sister's tonight? you guys usually come as a package deal" meaning if you saw one of the Deveraux sister's then the others weren't usually far away. She wondered for a second if they had a falling out as Alyssa looked a little sad but didn't like to get involved so would avoid anything too personal, she was just being her usual self, friendly.

Alyssa saw the beer and took it gratefully. The ice cold liquid felt like heaven going down her throat. It had been awhile since she had had a drink and she had a feeling that this would not be her last one tonight. She drank the alcohol like it was water, finishing it in a matter of minutes. She set the empty bottle on the counter, "Liv is in Encinitas and I have no idea where Liz is," Alyssa replied vaguely. Her thoughts were turning back to the whole witch ordeal. Would she ever be able to lead a normal life again? Would she still be allowed to have friends once she learned how to control her powers?
All these questions zipped through her mind, making her confused and angry. Who had decided her fate like this? Why didn't she even get a choice in whether or not she wanted to be a "Charmed One". Alyssa was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts at a shattering sound. She turned just in time to see the bottle explode. The shards of glass stopped inches from her body and fell straight to the ground. Ruby wasn't so lucky. Alyssa looked up at the bartender, seeing that the glass had cut her open in multiple spots. Alyssa stood up and rushed around the counter. "Are you alright?" she asked stupidly. Of course she isn't alright! You sliced her open with glass, retard! her thoughts answered her own question.

Ruby had noticed the bar area a little quieter now and decided to take the opportunity to try and clean up the bar area and stock up on some drinks and alcohol bottles. As the last thing she wanted was to get busy and run out and have to run out back and get some more.
It didn't take her long to unpack the boxes of drinks from a crate and put them under the bar, she was startled when she placed some bottles back into the crate as she almost cut herself, one of her greater fears was the sight of blood it's why she couldn't be a nurse the sight of blood made her nauseous and black out. Everyone thought because of her personality she would be a nurse and her family still try and tell her she needs to hurry up and pick a career and a career in medicine wouldn't be the worst thing.
But as she had finished re stocking the drinks she started to clean the counter she started at the far end as a group of people had ordered several drinks and spilled most of their drinks on the counter, she wiped it clean and then moved to wards where Alyssa was and wiped a little part by her and satisfied with her cleaning she turned her back to Alyssa to place the cloth on a side table.
She turned back around to face Alyssa and before she could do anything and before she even heard the shattering of the glass bottle she felt sharp shards of glass pierce her skin, she screamed out in pain as she looked down at her arm where a piece of glass had cut and edged it's way into her skin she saw a few drops of blood and before she could remove it or even move herself she fell to the floor due to her light headed-ness.

Alyssa caught Ruby before right before she hit the ground. Great, just great, Ruby was a hemophobiac. Alyssa opened one of the cabinets inside the bar and pulled out a cloth. This was all her fault. her and her stupid powers! If she didn't learn how to control them, these type of things would be happening regularly. Alyssa grabbed the piece of glass through the wash cloth. "I'm so sorry, Ruby," she muttered before yanking the glass out. Alyssa tossed it to the side before applying the washcloth to the wound the glass had left.
The other cuts weren't as deep as she thought and would be fine, but this one was really deep. Alyssa pushed hard, determined to stop the bleeding soon. After a moment, Alyssa realized that there was hardly any blood on the washcloth. She took it away and was shocked at what she saw. The cut was completely healed. There was no more blood and it was closed up. She looked at all the other cuts before realizing they too were healed. Alyssa's first instinct was to back away and question Ruby from a distance; was this girl a demon? But she quickly came to her senses and realized that if Ruby really was a demon, wouldn't she have made an attempt to kill them before? "What are you?" Alyssa asked, evidently shocked at what she just saw.

Ruby hadn't even noticed anything, yes she felt the pain as she was cut by shard of glass that seemed to come from no where, as she wasn't exactly paying full attention when it happened. But the sight of blood made her faint and dizzy, she was lucky enough to be caught by Alyssa though. As Alyssa tended to her cuts as she laid still whimpering in pain a little. It wasn't eminence pain but Ruby had no patience for pain what-so-ever.
She sat herself up as all the glass had been taken out and her back against a counter to one side of the bar. She looked away as Alyssa applied pressure to one main cut but Ruby was shocked when Alyssa had stopped and started shouting at her, as she wasn't watching her she didn't know what was the matter. She turned around and hadn't really noticed that it wasn't hunting her any longer. She stood herself up as Alyssa asked 'what she was!?' She showed Alyssa a blank expression.
'what the hell is she going on about'she thought lifting up her arm and holding it with the other she looked at her skin for a second for the marks and cuts and blood, but found dried blood and no scratches or cuts anywhere, she tilted her head giving Alyssa a suspicious look "What have you done to me? What? I had cuts and there was blood, and now it's gone, what are you?" she said almost hyperventilating as she tried to understand how cuts and scratches could disappear in a matter of seconds, it just wasn't possible. She then gave Alyssa a disgusted look convinced it was somehow her fault and edged away from her slowly taking steps backwards.

Alyssa was surprised when Ruby got up and started backing away from her like SHE was the potential evil. She was also caught off guard when Ruby asked her what she was. A few months ago her response would have been somewhere along the lines of: Me!? I'm normal!.... which is more than I can say for you! But now, times were a little different.... making objects fly without touching them wasn't exactly normal. Alyssa avoided the question by kneeling down and picking up one of the shards of glass. She took a step forward ran the sharp edge on Ruby's skin, barely breaking the surface.
She watched expectantly as blood welled up from the cut and then stopped. The cut was healed in a few seconds tops. "What am I? That was all you," Alyssa retorted, dropping the glass on the ground again before looking around to see if anyone saw any of the goings on here behind the bar. Everyone was too drunk to pay attention, which Alyssa was grateful for. Her thoughts quickly turned back to the present issue at hand... Miss Miracle Skin Re-grow. Then a thought crossed her mind: what if Ruby was a witch too? The thought was interesting and Alyssa would love it to be true. Another witch that the sisters could talk to? It was an exciting prospect. She didn't get her hopes up though, there was still a chance that Ruby was evil.

Ruby wasn't sure what to make of what Alyssa was saying, at first thought she wanted to slap her or something as it sounded like she was saying she wasn't normal she quickly spat back at her "Well I'm not an alien, if that is what you're suggesting!"Ruby couldn't believe it a girl who she had known for so long had seemed to have turned against her and it didn't help when she didn't understand herself.
"The healing thing, couldn't be me, it must be some kind of trick- this isn't funny" she said trying to force out a fake laugh. The only logical conclusion she could come to was that this was some kind of sick joke of Alyssa's well Ruby hoped so. She never believed it the supernatural. Ghosts, resurrections and all of that meant nothing to her and sometimes even made fun of those who did called me crazy.
stepping closer to Alyssa slowly she asked in a calmer softer tone "It is a sick joke right!?" Hoping that Alyssa would say yes she thought about stepping a little closer but just stood there for a second. If it wasn't some kind of joke then Ruby wouldn't know what to think, was it possible that she was some kind of freak with skin that magically heals itself after being cut, some many weird thoughts entered her mind; the kind that never had before all of this and if she was then why her!?
